I will dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
